Pink Taco opens in DC’s Navy Yard with craft cocktails, Lamb Tacos

DC location will exclusively serve lamb taco, become first chain location to offer craft cocktail program

The Navy Yard Pink Taco opened today, June 27 in the Capitol Riverfront District. The hip, inventive taco chain will serve up its Pink Taco and Lamb Taco. The chain only offers the latter at the Washington, DC location.

DC will also become the first location to offer a new craft cocktail lineup. Guests can select from Back of the Cadillac, prepared with Del Miguey Vida, orange-pasilla syrup, Angostura bitters, and orange bitter; Ain’t That America, made with Altos Blanco or Del Maguey Vida, lime juice, and agave syrup; and Time & Money, mixed with Herradura Blanco, pico de gallo brine, among others. In fact, the Navy Yard Pink Taco will be the launching point for the new craft beverage program that will roll out nationwide.

Margaritas will flow, too. Try the Satin Jack—Ilegal Mezcal, Ancho Reyes, Angostura bitters, lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup, or the Beauty School Dropout—Patrón Blanco, Midori, lime juice, and honeydew syrup.

Taco Tuesdays will be a thing at Pink Taco, offered between 5 p.m. and closing. These are some initial selections:

  • Buffalo Chicken
  • Charred Octopus
  • Crisp Pork Belly
  • Tuna Poke
  • Crispy Tofu
  • Gringo Tacos

(See the opening food menu here.)

There’s also a party room at the Navy Yard Pink Taco, designed by iCrave, with artwork from Juan Torres and JD Deardourff. According to Pink Taco’s publicists, “The music is great. The room is fun. And we promise you won’t leave hungry.”
