One Loudoun in Ashburn to welcome DC’s Ted’s Bulletin

Planned openings follow brand refresh, menu revamp

The Ted’s Bulletin chain will continue to expand with its upcoming opening in Ashburn, Va. at One Loudoun. The recently-announced location will become the casual-dining chain’s 7th. Ted’s Bulletin is headed by CEO Steve Salis of Salis Holdings and the Catalogue network of dining brands.

Big Mark Breakfast, Huevos Rancheros, Thick Cut French Toast, Nana’s Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, and the concept’s famous Ted’s Tarts will find a following in Ashburn. Ted’s Burger, Grilled Cheese and Ted’s Tomato Soup, Pickle Brined Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and Chicken Parmesan are additional favorites.

An extensive pastry selection and a curated coffee selection by Vincent Griffith, culinary director for Catalogue, are ideal for a grab-and-go breakfast. The Happy Hour at Ted’s is a fun way to cap off the work day, with cocktails, wines and beers.

One Loudoun is a mixed-use lifestyle community that offers a diverse collection of shops, restaurants, corporate offices, entertainment facilities and residences. Catalogue expects the Ashburn Ted’s Bulletin, when it opens next year, to become a “neighborhood cornerstone,” according to its announcement.

“The Loudoun opening is an exciting next step in our larger brand expansion plan,” says Steve Salis. “In the four years since we acquired Ted’s, the brand has grown and established itself as the place for all-day dining with a menu for The Every Day. Opening in this new location is a natural progression in our current strategy, which focuses on expanding beyond the density of urban markets into emerging markets with diverse communities.”

Salis is credited with the revitalization of the Ted’s Bulletin brand, including the look and feel of the spaces with new design elements, fresh branding and ongoing menu innovation. The menu refresh has paid dividends while keeping the classics that “people know and love,” noted Catalogue.

The restaurant company’s chief added, “We’ve had our eyes on this market for a while and One Loudoun gave us the opportunity to access this area in need of a go-to neighborhood eatery that is both approachable and premium in quality.”

Catalogue has also grown two- time Michelin Bib Gourmand winner BBQ joint; Federalist Pig; Kramers, bookstore, bar and all-day eatery; and Ensemble Digital Kitchen, with Salis providing the momentum. Sidekick Bakery and Honeymoon Chicken are also being developed.
