Art and Soul restaurant reopens at Yotel Hotel after redesign

Reimagined restaurant offers a fresh take on modern American cuisine

The recently-reopened Art and Soul restaurant boasts a new, fresh look after a multimillion dollar remodel. The re-envisioned restaurant at the YOTEL, a popular Washington, DC hotel, has been redesigned and offers 5,100 square feet of restaurant space that includes private space for events, as well.

In addition to the three modern dining rooms, Art and Soul opened a 1,900 square-foot patio. Diners and those holding events in this 150-person outdoor area can catch a view of the US Capitol dome.

Chef Danny Chavez, who worked at Michelin star Plume, plays up the restaurant’s influence with seasonal and locally-sourced dishes from the Chesapeake Bay watershed communities. The modern-American menu features appetizers that include Roasted Mushrooms with Focaccia and Pan Seared Octopus and signature entrées featuring housemade spring Spaghetti, Adobo Rub Pork Belly and Roasted Chicken Roulade.

Pair creative dishes with artful, classic cocktails, local draft beers and wines. Sweet finishes to the meal come in the form of tasty desserts: Rhubarb & Apple Crisp, Tres Leches Panna Cotta and Strawberry Bread Pudding.

Art and Soul serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., lunch Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Grab + Go breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday through Friday, with brunch served from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. The lounge is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and until the end of brunch on Sundays.
