The 2,550 square-feet restaurant will also have 12 seats on its patio for al-fresco dining. The restaurant’s named after a district in the Port of Spain, which is Trinidad’s capital. St. James is where East Indian and Chinese descendants commingled to bring an eclectic mix of food influence, blended with cuisine of Black Trinidadians.

The menu will reflect a Pan-Caribbean celebration of flavors. A beverage menu includes creative cocktails and curated beer and wine lists.

“After one of the most challenging years in the restaurant industry, we couldn’t be more proud to open St. James,” said co-owners Peter and Jeanine Prime. “Complex in its technique and preparation, Caribbean food is rich in its diversity thanks to our storied past,” they continued. “Our cuisine is humble in its roots and St. James will take creative license to play with these familiar dishes celebrating our region’s history with a modern twist.”

Chef Prime and sister Jeanine will host pop-ups with up-and-coming chefs, hospitality professionals and artists.. Swizzle Chill TV will keep foodies in the area updated on the menu once it’s finalized, as well as the eatery’s operating hours.
