Restaurant to open with takeout service
Jinya Ramen Bar will open a new location in Reston Town Center, its fourth in the DMV. The late summer opening will bring the Japanese concept founded by Tomonori Takahashi and his Tonkotsu-style Ramen to Reston. The secret behind Jinya’s popular ramen is said to be attributed to a water filtration system that purifies the broth used in the restaurants’ broths. Guests can pick from authentic toppings, from tender pork chashu to seasoned poached egg.
Another craft preparation is the handmade noodles used in the ramen. “Thick and thin ramen noodles are made fresh daily served traditionally with appropriate broth,” announced Jinya. “ Each bowl of ramen is built around a thick and rich broth simmered slowly for 20 hours, then balanced with toppings ranging from spicy bean sprouts to pork chashu, seasoned with fresh garlic and much more.”
Beyond ramen, the 32-unit casual-dining chain offers rice bowls and creative appetizers. Small plates, mini-tacos, salads, and desserts round out a menu that’s full of flavor and tradition. During the initial opening period, Reston guests will be able to try a special selection of Jinya Ramen bowls, which normally go for $16, for only $10.
Sam Shoja, a local franchise partner and multi-concept restaurateur, has adapted the restaurant to follow CDC and Commonwealth of Virginia safety guidance. Initially, the Reston Town Center Jinya will open for takeout only, including pickup orders and delivery. Once a properly-fashioned seating layout is developed, on-premises dining will open in the fall. Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash will fulfill Jinya’s delivery orders.
