Fried Chicken Sandwich comes in three levels of heat
Astro Doughnuts and Fried Chicken released new menu items for spring including The Asteroid Fried Chicken Sandwich. It features spicy fried chicken breast with bib lettuce, sliced pickles, jalapeño coleslaw, and comes drizzled with a choice of Comeback sauce or ranch dressing. Astro Doughnuts nestles all these ingredients inside a Brioche bun or doughnut bun. Customers can choose their heat level, also: Out of this World Hot, which is made with ghost pepper, Medium, prepared with habanero, and Mildish, made with cayenne
The Astro Doughnuts locations sell The Asteroid Fried Chicken Sandwich for $10.25. Their casual-dining sister, Astro Beer Hall on G Street in Washington, D.C., offers the versatile sandwich for $12.50 and serves it with a side of tater tots. The Brioche bun is only available at Astro Doughnuts in Falls Church and Astro Beer Hall.
Astro Doughnuts March 2020 flavors

Also, available on Saint Patrick’s Day only, Astro Doughnuts tops the Green Shamrock Doughnut ($3.75) with green mint white chocolate ganache glaze, green sugar sprinkles and sugar shamrok decor.
A boozier version is available at Astro Beer Hall only for $5.00 for customers 21 and older: this doughnut is filled with dark chocolate mousse filling and a shot of Baileys Irish Cream and topped with green mint white chocolate ganache glaze, green sugar sprinkles, and sugar shamrok decor.
Taking precautions during outbreak
As the Coronavirus Pandemic has caused many to limit social interactions, restaurants around Metropolitan Washington have embraced and emphasized takeout and delivery. Astro Doughnuts offers delivery via Caviar, DoorDash, Postmates, and Uber Eats.
Astro Doughnuts also released a statement: “Astro Doughnuts and Fried Chicken is taking extra precautions to maintain a safe and sanitary space during the COVID-19 outbreak, and is also increasing the availability of delivery through third party services…”
