Mardi Gras Extravaganza hosted at Dock-5 in 2020
The fun and frolic is building as we approach Mardi Gras 2020. Arlington’s Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar and Eatery and Dock 5 at Union Market are both showing their party scene for a grand celebration. Chef and restaurateur David Guas has a night of traditional Creaole & Cajun food and live music planned, starting at 6 p.m. Bayou Bakery will offer $5 dishes, including dishes like Camellia Red Beans & Rice, Muffalettas, Jambalaya, Crawfish Monica, and Beignets.
In addition, take advantage of $2 cake slices and $5 N’awlins Cocktails. The fun wraps up at 10 p.m. Some guests will want the Carnival to go, so there’s plenty on the catering menu, including Crawfish Étouffée, Crabmeat Maison, and assorted party platters.

Mardi Gras Extravaganza at Union Market Dock-5
Union Market Dock-5 will host the annual Mardi Gras Extravaganza. The celebration takes place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, February 25. Guas, a New Orleans native, will help host the event with celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn, mixtress Gina Chersevani, and Bruce Pike of Pike Productions. It’s an eat-and-dance feast. Plus, it’s all you can drink.
In the company of award-winning chefs and mixologists. guests will also be treated to celebrity Drag Queens Jazz Funk bands playing all night, a costume contest, and an evening Hurricane Cocktail Competition. What’s more, proceeds from the Mardi Gras Extravaganza 2020 benefit DC Central Kitchen.
Attendees of the grand fete at Dock-5 get a chance to win a fab prize: the NOLA FOR TWO, with two nights in New Orleans, airfare by Jet Blue and a stay at International House. The prize also includes dining at Brennan’s, Napoleon House and Redfish Grill.
