Eclectic mix of eateries makes The Boro a rising dining destination
The Boro District in Tysons continues to grow with the upcoming addition of a Ramen Noodle Shop. Hokkaido Ramen Santouka of Japan plans a March opening at 1636 Boro Place, according to Tysons Reporter. The Tonkotsu-ramen-focused concept’s online profile indicates this will be the first location in Washington, D.C. Hokkaido Ramen Santouka operates existing locations in Massachusetts and Washington State.
With close proximity to major companies in Tysons, including Booz Alen Hamilton and KPMG, and the Greensboro Metro Station on the WMATA Silver Line, the Boro is attracting its own flurry of activity. An eclectic mix of eateries are making it a dining destination. Fox Restaurants Concepts opened its Flower Child cafe in the district and recently added the popular North Italia. Tasty Kabob will also open at the Boro, across from the main entrance of Whole Foods, the anchor grocery store.
The premium grocery store also features a bevy of its own eateries, including Curiosity Doughnuts, Genji Izakaya and Highpoint Pub. Whole Foods also offers smaller versions of Officina, an Italian market and restaurant at the District Wharf, and Rappahannock Oyster, an oyster and seafood bar.
And the Boro will also add a movie theater by Chicago-based Kerasotes Showplace Theatres. Still in the works and being built: Showplace ICON cinema luxury theater features 15 state-of-the-art screens, dining options, in addition to a large screen and deluxe leather seating recliners.
