Where to get your Bloody Mary, Maria brunch on New Year’s Day

New Year’s Day 2020 brunch recovery-style

After serious New Year’s Eve partying, many Washingtonians head for the recovery brunch. To follow tradition, the Bloody Mary is the drink of choice. Keeping that in mind, we took a look at some New Year’s Day brunches around Washington, D.C. that are taking it up a notch and serving the customary recovery drink. Here are four spots serving brunch January 1, 2020.

Buffalo and Bergen: Lox’d & Loaded

At Buffalo & Bergen, proprietor Gina Chersevani will offer her special Lox’d & Loaded Bloody Mary, seeing that it’s National Blood Mary Day. It’s definitely loaded. Atop the Lox’d & Loaded sits a mini Everything Bagel stuffed with Lox, Cream Cheese, Capers, and Red Onion. Both locations of Buffalo and Bergen, including the newly opened Capitol Hill location, will offer the drink, as well as assorted beverages, bagels and house-made “knishes.”
