Chalet-style wonderland now open at Hook Hall
It’s a season of winter wonderlands in Washington, D.C. Now, Hook Hall is joining in on the fun by transforming its backyard into The Chalet at Hook Hall. Think beer garden turned into rustic ski lodge. And that’s certainly what it is with 5,000 square feet of heated, tented space. In addition to the winter conversion, the summer cabanas are being converted into “Chalet Nooks” according to the restaurant’s announcement.
Individual fire pits, USB ports and large pillows make the 12-person Nooks a premier type of space. For a mere $100, guests can reserve the Nooks for three hours. Of course, there’s a full bar during winter and wait staff ready to serve up hot, Alpine-style beverages. Try the schnapps, too and indulge in Bavarian pretzels. The giant, Bavarian Pretzel serves up to 10 people.
A Reese’s Pieces S’mores dessert is a great way to finish the evening. Check out the menu here.
