Hensel Phelps begins work on Scotts Run Archer Hotel project

New hotel to be unique face of Scotts Run South, Tysons East

Hensel Phelps began work on the Archer Hotel Tysons at Scotts Run South in Northern Virginia. The hotel’s owner and operator, LodgeWorks Partners, L.P, tapped Hensel Phelps for the project, which is adjacent to the McLean Silver Line Metro Station. The exploding Tysons Corner District in Fairfax County welcomes Scotts Run South and North, with a bevy of retailers, a theater, hotel, Wegmans Grocery Store and luxury apartment complex developed by Skanska.

Archer Hotel emerges as the only hotel chain for the Scotts Run project. Part of the surrounding community already will include luxury condominiums, apartments within a stone’s throw of the Tysons Corner and Tysons Galleria Mall. Lead Developer of Scotts Run, CityLine Partners, intended the project to be a walkable development. When finished, Scotts Run will include 6.5 million square feet of residential and commercial development.

When completed, Archer Hotel Tysons—designed by LK Architecture—will contain 178 rooms. The upcoming Scotts Run luxury hotel “ blends historic adaptive reuse architecture with the modern urban infill to create a distinctive experience at Scotts Run,” said the construction company’s announcement. “Guests can choose from Classic King, Double King (uncommon to find in hotels), Archer King Suite and Archer’s Den, which are the largest accommodations in the hotel.”

The Archer Den floor plan will be the ultimate in luxury with a bedroom and a separate living area made comfy with a chesterfield-style sofa, side chair and a 55-inch television. A rooftop terrace & event space, fitness studio, bar and restaurant round out the hotel space. Meeting planners will flock to 6,500 square feet of meeting and event space. Expect to see the project completed in the summer of 2021.
