Jack Rose Dining Saloon hosts prohibition-era Repeal Day Celebration

Pappy Hour, Cellar Party main draws of the party

Jack Rose Dining Saloon is throwing a 30’s-style speakeasy party Thursday, December 5 in honor of the repeal of the 21st Amendment. The 8th Annual Repeal Day Celebration features a night full of Prohibition-era cocktails and punches, a ticketed speakeasy-style Cellar Party, a Pappy Van Winkle-themed happy hour, and burlesque performances. The fun starts at 5 p.m.

The Pappy Hour, starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m. Jack Rose Dining Saloon one of the few places to find six bottlings of Pappy Van Winkle whiskey, according to the bar’s announcement. Jack Rose’s happy hour will provide special pricing on drinks from hard-to-find bottlings. For regulars and newcomers alike, the bar will offer its happy hour staple of half-priced bites and discounted beers.

In the Saloon, dancers will be available all evening to liven up the party. Jack Rose offers bottomless Champagne for $40 all night featuring Moet & Chandon Imperial Champagne, in addition to $10 cocktails “harking back to the era.” Guests can dress the prohibition-era part at the Jack Rose’s Annual Repeal Day Party. Some will be decked out in flapper dresses and swanky suits for a chance to win a $150 gift certificate.

The speakeasy Cellar Party begins at 7 p.m. A $75 ticket provides access to either a choice of a special whiskey tasting, or “select open bar” + bottomless champagne. Passed food, and a live burlesque performance are also included in the Cellar Party admission. The special tasting is led by Bill Thomas, Jack Rose co-founder, and gives guests access to half-ounce pours from post-Prohibition distilleries Stitzel-Weller, Brown-Forman, Jim Beam, Heaven Hill, Medley, and Willett.

Guests can access Cellar Party tickets on Resy. Click on the “7pm Cellar Party” option. All but the Cellar Party are offered no admission and open to the public, with the a-la-carte happy hour that was announced, a-la-carte dinner menu options and the $40 bottomless champagne as options for purchase.
