Fourth annual wine event delivers a taste of global picks
Roofers Union and sister concept, Jug & Table, are hosting the popular War of the Rosés evening event Wednesday, June 12. Chas Jefferson, Roofers Union’s new wine director, handpicked the wine selections for the fourth annual event. The restaurant offers the wines via flexible ordering options: by the glass or by ordering the half-priced bottle. Jefferson’s picks, which include rosés from Austria, France, Spain and Italy, are available on all three floors, including the rooftop.
The Roofers Union and Jug & Table concepts will feature the winning rosé wine on their menu. Expect to purchase and sip these global wines throughout the evening and order menu items a la carte. Consider, for example, the Jug & Table’s Rosé Burrata, with watermelon and mint, as a worthy option.

Here are the hand-picked War of the Rosés selections:
- Austria – Loimer-Niederösterreich Zweigelt – $24 per bottle during this event
- France – Château Platon Bordeaux Rosé Cabernet Franc – $20 per bottle during this event
- Spain – Armas de Guerrero- Bierzo Mencía – $18 per bottle during this event
- Italy – Fontaleoni Toscana Sangiovese – $22 per bottle during this event
Enjoy the War of the Rosés event from 5 p.m. to closing. Popular items from Executive Chef Jenn Flynn will also be available from the dinner menu to pair with the curated wines.
