Jose Andres, Tommy McFly, top chefs, restaurant entrepreneurs headline 2018 Capital Food Fight in DC

Event expected to attract 1,000 guests

The Capital Food Fight is on. DC Central Kitchen is bringing this year’s Capital Food Fight to the District’s Anthem Arena on the Waterfront November 8, 2018. Top chefs and restaurant entrepreneurs are expected to judge the event, including José Andrés, Spike Mendelsohn, Tom Colicchio and Ryan Zimmerman. The event typically brings together 1,000 guests as it offers culinary delights from over 80 of DC’s best restaurants.

Attendees and culinary leaders from near and beyond gather with much goodwill and celebration, knowing The Capital Food Fight channels 100 percent of proceeds for the DC Central Kitchen. In the grind of the battle will be Kyle Bailey, chef/partner of the Salt Line, Autumn Cline, executive chef of Rappahannock Oyster Company, Alex McCoy, chef and founder of Lucky Buns, and Kevin Tien, chef and co-founder of Himitsu.

Emceeing the event is Tommy McFly, a native of Scranton, Penn., but now the “Prince of DC Media” and host of the daily morning show on 94.7 Fresh FM. He is a well-known media personality and has frequent appearances on NBC4 Radio in DC.
